Frank’s Pharmacy
A fixture in New York City’s Jackson Heights community for more than 20 years, Frank’s Pharmacy is a well-loved family-owned and -operated business. When a five-alarm fire destroyed the pharmacy, owner Frank Buonagurio was determined to rebuild it. Public Impact was hired to promote the pharmacy’s high-profile move to a new site in the neighborhood, an event commemorated by a ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured leading Queens elected officials.
Public Impact created massive buzz around the rebirth of Frank’s Pharmacy. Our messaging about Frank’s Pharmacy’s grand reopening successfully promoted Buonagurio and staff to traditional and digital media outlets.
Public Impact also created a digital infrastructure to herald the reopening campaign, including development of a new website, and revitalization of the Pharmacy’s existing digital assets.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony and in-store party attracted hundreds of well-wishers, and garnered media attention, including an New York Daily News article and a segment on Spectrum News NY1. The message was clear: Frank’s Pharmacy is back in business.
